Webhuset was founded in 1998 and has thus passed well over 10 years in the industry. To begin with, we supplied only domain names and simple web hosting services, but we worked quickly up an extensive customer database and therefore had the opportunity to build our own data center and operating environment.
Spring 2010 was our 3rd Datacenter consecutive clear. The new center has a total capacity of 2,200 servers. Enough once the decision to invest all while the world economy so bleak. As a solid, privately owned company we are able to invest when we feel it is right to invest.
In 2012 completed Webhuset acquisition of Rent a Rack AS and got with this purchase a new data center in Oslo. We are now located on both sides of the mountain and operates a total of approximately 1,300 sq m data center with a capacity of 6,000 servers.
Webhuset currently operates several hundred dedicated servers and thousands of VPS servers from their own data centers in Bergen. Webhuset AS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Webhuset Invest AS.
Our clients range today from one-man company who need a simple website and email to large public sector clients who hire their own data centers in our data center. We cover other words, all requirements in data center and cloud computing markets.
